Dr. Who Screening
We were delighted to have an advanced showing of the 2010 Dr. Who Christmas special, starring our very own Katherine Jenkins. To make things even better, Katherine was able to pop in and share in the excitement with us. What a great Christmas present!
The Gwyn Hall has been the heart of Neath for over a hundred years. When a fire, in 2007, ravaged the Victorian building to near ruin, people felt a great sense of loss. Today, the re-bulding of this historic landmark has been something which our pupils have been enthralled with.
Katherine Jenkins is one former pupil who will often pop in to say hello. On this occasion, she brought the BBC with her:

According to the BBC: ‘a review looking at pupil achievement at 168 Church in Wales primary schools found they were consistently above the average in English, maths and science.’ We were delighted to welcome the BBC cameras into our school to capture our school day:

At Alderman Davies, we are proud to have a mix of both female and male practitioners. The Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Keith Towler, recently spoke of the importance of children having a variety of role models in primary schools:
